English test towards PR in Australia

So what is PR?

PR stands for permanent resident and its ridiculously hard to get one here in Australia. Even though some may say that it is easy to get, just wait a few years and get some experience and that will all add points to your chance in getting the PR.

However, the thing is, it's not as easy as everybody says it is, you want to get experience but nobody wants to hire you in your field because they say you lack experience! Does that even make sense? How can you expect us fresh graduates to gain experience when you don't even allow us the chance to gain some!!!! Modern day world problem!

Also, some companies make it so hard for us to get into their company by setting rules like, international students must have an English score in IELTS or PTE of 8 across the bands and thats just ridiculous. FYI, if we get 8 across, we could apply for PR already by ourselves. And the max score you can achieve is 9, so they are basically asking 8 out of 9 from us, it may be easy for those who came from english speaking country and or their first language is english, but for most of us, english isn't our first language and so I feel that it is unfair for us to have such a high requirement for english. I believe that the government here should revise their system and in allowing at least 7/9 to be able to apply for PR here, still 7/9 is not as easy as you think it might be.

Furthermore, we paid a lot of money for us to come all the way to Australia to further our studies, and not allowing us better chances in being able to apply for PR and in upbringing the economy here, it is just ridiculous in my opinion, I know some of you out there has other views about this, but don't take it personally because this are just "My Thoughts"!

I have however, been trying my best to get the required score for me to be able to apply for PR, Yesterday (27/5/2016) I took a PTE test and it was alright I guess, I felt that the speaking part was the hardest and the rest was rather okay. I hope this time, I will get there.

Conversely, I know those international students out there understand very vividly what I am talking about and they are probably feeling the same way as I do. But sometimes you just have to trust yourself in your ability and just let everything be!!

More to come when my results are out in a week's time hehe

Have a good day guys!
Peace out :)

What happen during CNY 2016!!

This is a post CNY post hahaha, this year my younger siblings and I spent our Chinese New Year overseas in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA. My family all went to Singapore to celebrate CNY cause my grandparents are there. The reason why we didn't go back this year was that my siblings had their classes on CNY. And so, I thought I would be my brothers guardian and stayed back. Which was alright I guess, even though I really really wanted to go back hahhaa.

My girlfriend went back to Malaysia and all my friends are back there too, so it was tough not to be a little jealous hahahaha, all the fun and gambling hahahhaa. But anyways, on with the not so sad part hahhaa.

This year I got to spend my CNY with my 2 other cousins. We had our Tuan Yuan Fan together with 8 dishes hahhaa. And not only that, after the dinner we watch some old chinese movies like Fong Sai Yuk hahhaa and played Mahjong together, it was fun and a long and tiring day for me.

Our layout of the dinner table haha

Our messy yisheng

Mango sego for desserts yo. All this was done by my cousin.

I had to clean the whole house that day and prepare for the CNY celebration. It is a great and huge festivity for us so it sort of is a thing where we have to clean out everything. Besides that, we also have to fill up our rice containers, salt and sugar hahaha. It was to symbolise that we would have rice to eat through out the whole year haha. More, we also had to put 2 oranges and a red packet into the rice container.

So that was pretty much the story behind our CNY eve hahhaa. And so the first day onwards,  I basically stayed at home and did nothing, literally nothing because I had no place to go and both my siblings was in class. So I just chilled and relax completely, this 2016 have been so far a very chill year for me ahhaa, especially this Chinese New Year. Wish that I was back but it's okay, there's always next year hehe. Always look on the bright side to things and you'll be happier with life.

Well Happy Chines New Year 2016 peeps

Run Melbourne

Hey guys, so I participated in this run event called the "Run Melbourne" which they have like every year. So this is like my third time running in this events in my entire life, I did the city to sea run, that was only 5km and was my first run ever, and I had like the color run too, which was also 5km. However, this time I took on 10km at the Run Melbourne and it was awesome :)

Somehow, during this run, the first 5km felt a lot shorter than the 5km I had during my first run, awesome. But this time, we had to like run up and down hills, it was torture to run up the steep hills, but a breeze to run down the slopes hahahha :)

The Weather, hahhah we had like an awesome weather on that day (27/7/14), it was nice and sunny, not too cold and not too hot :) but it was a bit chilly at the start as we were just standing around waiting for he run to start.

During the run, I felt really good because it has been awhile since I really exercise and this 10k was a great way to get me back on track, especially after Launceston :) We ran like through the shrine of remembrance and to somewhere that I have no idea where ahhaha, than to one end of yarra river, across a very very long bridge and than followed by some zig zag and end back at the yarra river front :) Sorry if that's a bit confusing to read.

You know, I almost vomited during the run, it came halfway up my throat and nearly came out, but it went back down, the taste was so bad, you know how vomit taste like right, it was just ughhhh, but overall the run was good. I sprint like the last few hundred metres and passed the finishing line and was like totally out of energy. Than they gave us an apple with a bottle of water, the apple was so sweet and juicy :) just what I needed, but my legs were exhausted after that ahhaha. I'll definitely go for more in the near future :)

Anyways, this has been a long overdue post that I am gonna publish now hahaha, just to put it out there for those who are looking to start and get into running, I totally support you and when you get started, you will feel great, its different when you run in the gym causes you'll be staring at the same few the whole time. As for running outside, of course you run to different places but it also challenges you up those hills and it just feels great to run with fresh air and a partner or with a group of friends.

That's all for this post, see you on the next one :)
Live the adventure

Japanese cotton cheesecake

Okay okay, if you don't already know, I actually like to bake. Like for fun and it's also my interest. I don't know when did I developed this interest but I liked baking and cooking ever since I was young. Guess because I really really love food hahaha food all the way 😃✌️

Anyways, today's menu was for my sister, she's been asking for it ever since I said I wanna bake something! And she just like to eat this cheesecake. Hopefully it turns out good hehehee, it's a Japanese cheesecake, which is a really light and cotton feel cheesecake that is not too rich, but still has the cheese taste there, here's some pics of the cake.

Mixing the cheese and egg mixture together. Somehow baking makes me feel calm and it relaxes me in a different way, which I like and best part is that you get to eat, kill 2 birds with one stone hehe 😈🍰🍰🍰

This is the end product of it and now we just need to wait till it's completely chilled so we can dig in into a slice hehehehe

And this concludes the end of this blogpost, till next time
Peace!

Graduation "It's a new beginning"!

As it is a new beginning, this calls for a new introduction. For you who don't know me, I'm Daryl and I'm from Kuching, A small but a wonderful little city in Sarawak of Malaysia. When I was young, I've always been a rascal and would always be the one to cause trouble and cry. I would say I had a really really worrisome childhood hahaha, not for me but my parents. I never like studying before and it had stuck with me all the way till high school.

However, I started focusing on my english ever since as I was hugely influenced by my grandpa. He always insisted that we need to brush up on our english as it is very important and would be extremely help full to us next time, and oh my how I wish I had listen to him more, he was so right, besides being an international language where most countries would know and understand, it became my most valuable knowledge and skill to have them as I was later able to understand and learn a lot more out here.

It has been 5 years since I've graduated from my high school and man I miss those days. Those were the days where you're just carefree and would do anything for fun. And I had so many good and crazy fun times with my classmates. And ever since coming out here to Melbourne and pursuing my further studies, I've learn a great deal lot about my course and other real life situations.

And so, after what it seems to be like a long time, I finally graduated with a Bachelor degree at the University of Melbourne and I am just so proud of myself, I've been told that my results would get me no where when I was in high school, you could imagine how I felt coming from one of the teachers in my school, ridiculous. But I proved to everyone that you can do it, when you put your mind and work hard a little, everything is possible. on 12 Dec 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and it was a pleasure to be graduating with my fellow graduates of class 2015. Had been a rather crazy ride and I am so ready to get out into the world and start earning my living.

I have such big plans for my future and its just getting started, but I guess I have to work hard for the next few decades hahaha to earn myself a place in the world. You have to start somewhere, I started to gain some interest in the social world and am starting to blog more, I guess why I developed this interest was because of my girlfriend, she started blogging way before I did and I just followed, It was interesting as when I started it myself, it was rather calming and I actually enjoyed it, being able to share a part of my life with you guys, Hopefully to be able to inspire some of you at the end of my blog.

If you would like, I also am planning to start a youtube channel and would try my best to create some vlogs, but I would probably start making 1 video a week only. Do check me out when I do at (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCssrORvRyowV7BZXWSweakA). I also have an Instagram where I mostly post about food (lyradsmight). Guess that's all for now and I'll keep the blogs coming :)

Sorry for the quite blur picture !!

Peace out, see you on the next blogpost :)
